The World Happiness Report was released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations on March 20, the date that the United Nations has declared to be the International Day of Happiness.

The report ranks countries on six key variables that support well-being: income, freedom, trust, healthy life expectancy, social support and generosity.

Tier 1: 14 countries in respective ranking from #1 to #14, see NZ beats the UK and Canada, Australia and the US (Latter two countries belong in Tier 2!)
Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Ireland, United Kingdom, Canada

Tier 2: (25 countries mostly in Europe & Eastern Europe, some Latin American countries)
Australia, France, Belgium, Korea, Spain, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Singapore, Portugal, United States....

Tier 3: 36 countries including Thailand as #70
